Engineering firm promises 40 jobs for Killarney

Forty jobs are to be created in Killarney by Co Kerry-based manufacturing and engineering firm Tricel.

The company currently employs 100 people in Killarney and 250 in total across the group in Ireland, UK and France.

The jobs will include several graduate positions.

Originally known as Killarney Plastics, Tricel specialises in the development and manufacture of specialised products from water storage tanks and wastewater treatment systems to construction and building products.

The jobs were announced this morning by Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton.

Tricel also announced 60 new jobs for the UK and France this morning.

The positions, to be added over the next 18 months, will be in the areas of management, engineering, R&D, product development, marketing and manufacturing.
