The Dáil Committee on Procedure and Privileges is to write to Sinn Féin's Mary Lou McDonald asking her to withdraw her remarks linking six former politicians to Ansbacher accounts.
Ms McDonald made the remarks using Dáil privilege.
The committee found there was no evidence to support the claims, but it cannot impose any sanctions on Ms McDonald.
Sinn Féin's deputy leader had argued that the allegations had been made by a credible whistleblower and she had done so in the public interest.
A number of those named have made complaints to the committee for the remarks to be withdrawn.
