Tánaiste Joan Burton's car was blocked from leaving an event in Dublin for about 15 minutes by a group of about 30 protesters today.

The protesters were reported to be vocal and noisy but peaceful.

The event was at Musgrave's Business Park in Fonthill.

There were a number of gardaí present at the scene. It is the second time the minister has been targeted by protesters.

In November last year, Minister Burton was trapped in her car in Jobstown in Tallaght for a number of hours.

An investigation has been launched into that incident and a number of people, including Anti-Austerity Alliance TD Paul Murphy, were arrested.
