Visitors are being asked to stay away from Tallaght Hospital in Dublin because a number of patients there are being treated for flu.
Visits are allowed only for those visiting critically ill patients or parents visiting children.
The emergency department continues to operate as normal.
The restrictions will be reviewed tomorrow.
