Minister for Justice Frances Fitzgerald has said that five months of detailed work had been spent on drafting the Child and Family Relationships Bill.

The bill contains 150 sections including technical amendments and is expected to go before the Cabinet next week, after which it will be published.

The Government agreed the drafting of the bill last September.
