Two separate rescue missions have been launched after hill walkers were injured on the Comeragh Mountains in Co Waterford.

The two female walkers were in different groups when they sustained lower leg injuries. One woman was airlifted by the Rescue 117 helicopter, while an operation to get the other walker down from the mountain is still under way.
