Met Éireann has issued a snow and ice warning in northern parts of the country.
Connacht, Counties Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford and Westmeath are expected to be worst hit.
Motorists are being warned that visibility may be reduced at times across the country.
There is a risk of snow on higher ground.
