Commemoration events celebrating the works of renowned Irish poet WB Yeats are to take place in countries across the world next year.
Launched tonight, Yeats 2015 is a year-long programme of cultural and artistic events, happening in numerous places such as New York, London, Rome, Madrid and Korea.
It is being funded by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht.
One of the highlights will be Yeats Day on 13 June 2015, which will mark 150 years since his birth.
It is expected the Yeats 2015 commemoration will provide a boost to cultural tourism in Ireland.
