Up to 500 people turned out for an anti-water charge protest in Waterford today.
A march took place across Rice Bridge and down the quay where speeches took place.
Organisers say the numbers in attendance exceeded the garda estimate.
Elsewhere, a group of up to 20 anti-water protesters gathered outside the New Park hotel in Kilkenny, where the Technical Engineering and Electrical Union conference is taking place.
