Met Éireann has issued a Status Orange warning, its second most serious category of alerts.
The rainfall and flood alert is for counties Dublin, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Wexford and Wicklow.
The alert comes into effect tomorrow morning and will remain in force until 9am on Friday.
