Disability support group Rehab has announced the appointment of a new chief executive, who will take up the post with the charity on 1 January next year.

Mo Flynn, who is currently chief executive of Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services in Harold's Cross and Blackrock in Dublin, will receive €140,000 a year.

In April, Rehab Chief Executive Angela Kerins said she would step down following controversy over the level of salaries paid and low profits from its charity lotteries.
