Afghanistan's two rival presidential candidates are due to sign a power-sharing agreement tomorrow.
This comes after a stand-off over the disputed 14 June election.
The deadlock was between the leading contenders, Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani.
It had raised concerns about a smooth transition of power in Afghanistan just as US-led troops were leaving.
Mr Ghani and Mr Abdullah had been locked in an acrimonious dispute since the run-off, both effectively claiming victory and Mr Abdullah refusing to accept the outcome.
