Over 900 venues across the country will open their doors to the public free of charge tonight as part of the annual Culture Night celebration.
Venues include museums, galleries, cathedrals, studios, libraries and theatres.
The event aims to get people involved in arts events in their local communities, sample what is on offer and maybe then come back for more at a later date.
RTÉ is involved with performances by its performing groups and a three-hour Arena special to be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 between 7pm and 10pm tonight.
There will also be coverage on the RTÉ Player.
All Culture Night activities are free but some require booking in advance.
