Residents at a second centre for asylum seekers in Cork have begun a protest.
They are objecting to delays in processing their applications for asylum and to the system of direct provision.
The protest, at Ashbourne House in Glounthaune, follows a similar protest at the direct provision centre on the Kinsale Road, where some residents are blocking food trucks from resupplying the centre with provisions.
Yesterday members of the Seanad began debating a motion calling for changes to the system of direct provision.
