Six men were rescued from a sinking fishing vessel off the Donegal coast in the early hours of this morning.

The boat began to take on water at about 3.30am.

Two Lough Swilly Lifeboats, a rescue helicopter from Sligo, and the all-weather boat attended the scene.

Crew members from the all-weather boat boarded the vessel, and used a pump to clear the water.

Nobody was injured in the incident.
