The HSE has confirmed it has bought Mount Carmel Hospital in South Dublin.
300 people lost their jobs when the private maternity hospital closed in January 2014.
According to the HSE the hospital is to reopen next year and will be used as a step-down facility for long-term hospital patients.
Today the Sunday Business Post reported the HSE bought Mount Carmel Hospital from NAMA for €11m however the HSE said it was not in a position to confirm this.
