An estimated 110,000 more property owners were informed by Revenue last week that outstanding property tax liabilities were going to be deducted from their wages or pensions.
40,000 letters were issued at the start of last week and 70,000 were issued at the end of last week in respect of combinations of outstanding household charge and property tax payments.
More than 200,000 enforcement letters will have been issued by early July.
Revenue has advised anyone contacted in error to respond to the letter to have their case updated.
The tax authority says that people whose only income is from the Department of Social Welfare are likely to be eligible for a deferral of the property tax.
