Dublin City Council has announced the number of Dublin Bikes will treble to 1,500 under a new deal with a soft drinks manufacturer.
The deal with Coca-Cola means there will be 100 docking stations by the end of the summer.
The bike scheme has been rebranded ‘Coca-Cola Zero dublinbikes’.
Dublin's Lord Mayor Christy Burke described Coca-Cola as a "fitting partner", while Minister of State for Public Transport Alan Kelly said the partnership showed "the upward trajectory that cycling is going to go on".
Over seven million journeys have been taken on Dublin Bikes since 2009, with 979,786 so far this year.
