A motorcyclist has died in a crash on the N54 at Lismeagh, Smithborough, in Co Monaghan.
The crash between a car and the morotcycle happened last night at around 9pm at Lismeagh, Smithborough.
The 29-year-old male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body was removed to Cavan General Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out this morning. The driver of the car and a passenger were uninjured.
The road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.
