An investigation is under way after a man in his 70s was found dead on a farm in Co Donegal yesterday.
The man is understood to have been working on a car when it collapsed on top of him on the outskirts of Ballybofey.
It is understood he was discovered by his son who also works on the farm.
Gardaí are investigating the death and the Health and Safety Authority has been informed.
Local Councillor Martin Harley described him as a lovely man who had battled cancer for more than 20 years.
"The entire community is so saddened by his death and the unfortunate way he died," said Councillor Harley.
