ESB Networks has said power has been restored to all customers who were affected by a major outage in north Co Mayo.
Up to 20,000 homes and businesses were left without power, after a transformer at the Bellacorick substation was hit by lightning.
Crews have been working to restore supply since the outage at around 5pm this evening.
A spokesperson for ESB networks said the problems have been rectified and power has been restored in all the affected areas.
Meanwhile, Met Éireann issued a warning earlier this evening of heavy rain in east coast regions.
It said flash flooding was likely in Dublin.
Rain was expected to fall at a rate of 24-32mm/hr at the height of the shower.
