AIB has said customers are still having problems withdrawing money using debit cards from ATM machines which do not belong to the bank.
A spokesperson for AIB has said they are still working to fix the problem, which arose yesterday.
The spokesperson said those withdrawing money from AIB ATM machines, using point of sale terminals or shopping online should not encounter any problems.
In a further statement this evening, the company said that some cardholders could still experience difficulties at AIB ATMs if they had tried to withdraw money at non-AIB ATMs earlier.
"AIB customers using AIB ATMs could be impacted if they have previously attempted to withdraw funds at a non-AIB ATM earlier today, where the total value of their attempts is greater than the daily €600 ATM withdrawal limit.
"At midnight, AIB customers' €600 ATM daily withdrawal limit will be reset. Cashback at point of sale continues to be available subject to retailer policy up to €100 per transaction," the company statement added.
