Operation Open City, aimed at keeping traffic flowing and minimising disruption in the Dublin region in the run-up to Christmas, has been launched by gardaí.
The operation will see high visibility enforcement operations, with officers patrolling all major arterial routes and link roads during commuter hours.
There will also be particular focus on traffic management around car parks and major shopping centres.
Operation Open City runs up to and including Christmas Eve.
