Iraqi police have found the bodies of 18 people who were abducted from their homes and killed execution-style in a town near Baghdad.
The bodies, which had gunshot wounds to the head, were found grouped together in Meshahda, around 32km north of the capital.
It was the deadliest in a series of execution-style killings, which are on the rise in Iraq.
The victims were taken from their homes early this morning by men wearing military uniforms and driving around six SUVs, police sources said.
Two of the abductors were dressed as army officers.
