An open-air exhibition showcasing photographs of the work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Ireland and the UK has been launched in Grand Canal Square in Dublin.

For nearly a decade, professional photographer and volunteer crew member Nigel Millard has been capturing the spirit of the RNLI in his portraits and reportage style photographs.

During 2013, the RNLI's volunteer crew and seasonal lifeguards saved the 140,000th life since the service was launched in 1824.
