A trial in Wexford town to reduce and possibly get rid of one and two cent coins comes to an end today.
For two months, around 250 businesses have been rounding cash transactions to the nearest five cent.
The aim was to find out how such a move would work in practice and if it could be done across the country.
The Central Bank has said it will now assess the reaction of consumers and retailers to the 'Rounding Trial'.
