Over 480 workers were offered jobs in Canada following a jobs fair in Belfast and Dublin earlier this month.
The British Columbia Construction Association organised the job expo events, which resulted in the employment offers for construction workers.
Those offers are now being processed by the prospective employers.
It was the third recruitment drive by the BCCA.
BCCA Vice President Abigail Fulton said overall Canadian employers were very pleased with the quality of the Irish applicants.
She said she believed that the number of workers seeking jobs abroad is decreasing, but was not sure whether that was because work was picking up in Ireland, or because those who want to go have already gone.
She said the BCCA may add additional venues if they repeat the recruitment drive next year.
She said another important development was the initiation of links with the EURES state agency, which was originally established to help Irish workers find jobs in Europe.
EURES is now developing a pilot scheme with the BCCA as its first partner outside the European Union.
The Belfast Expo on 31 October delivered 173 job offers: 76 in British Columbia, 20 in Alberta and 77 in Saskatchewan.
The Dublin Expo found work for 277 people: 136 in British Columbia, 42 in Alberta, and 99 in Saskatchewan.
In addition, interviews through EURES yielded job offers for 34 workers.
The biggest shortfall in filling vacancies was steel fixers. Only a handful of over 100 places on offer were filled.
