The supermarket chain SuperValu has said a security breach involving its 'Getaway Breaks' loyalty scheme is more extensive than first thought.
The scheme is managed by the company, Loyalty Build.
Last week, SuperValu warned more than 30,000 customers that their financial details may have been compromised.
It has now emerged that 62,500 customers who made 'Getaway Breaks' bookings between January 2011 and February 2012 were advised to contact their financial institutions.
They were also advised to check the transactions on their payment cards for any suspicious activity.
SuperValu said it was contacting customers.
