Dublin Fire Brigade says it had a busy Halloween night dealing mainly with bonfires across the city.

The fire service responded to 484 incidents between 4pm yesterday and 6am this morning.

The figure is down on the number of incidents the fire brigade responded to last year.

Crews responded to 199 fire incidents in Dublin city and 113 across Co Dublin, while they also had 172 incidents requiring an ambulance response.

The fire brigade said it was unaffected by the ongoing water restrictions in place by the capital's local authorities.
