Airtricity is to increase electricity prices by 3.5% from 1 November.
In a statement the company blamed increases in the cost of using the energy networks along with the increased cost of buying energy in global markets.
It says this will result in an average monthly increase of €3.25 for customers on direct debit and standard bills.
