Suicide prevention campaigner Donal Walsh, who died in May, is to have two rooms dedicated to his memory at a Co Kerry centre established by the charity Console.

Console offers counselling services and a 24-hour helpline to people in crisis and those who have been bereaved by suicide.

The charity recently opened a centre at Balloonagh in Tralee.

Two rooms in the centre will be dedicated to Donal's memory, after his parents donated funds to Console from the Donal Walsh LiveLife Foundation.

Donal's friends will help to decorate the rooms.

Console operates full-time counselling centres in Limerick, Cork, Dublin, Wexford, Galway, Kerry and Mayo.

It also offers services in Kildare and Athlone and recently opened a service in London.
