Today is the deadline for applications for inclusion on the register of electors for the two referendums taking place on 4 October.

People who are eligible to vote, but who are not currently on the register, can apply to their local authority for entry on the supplement to the register.

Every Irish citizen who is 18 years of age, or older, is entitled to vote in referendums if he or she is included on the register of electors.

The referendums will be on the abolition of the Seanad and the establishment of a Court of Appeal.
