Around 300 EBS staff belonging to the Unite trade union are meeting this afternoon to decide whether to take industrial action in a dispute over non-payment of a 2011 Christmas bonus.

Talks at the Labour Relations Commission broke down on Monday.

Unite has already said that if members decide to take industrial action, pickets will also be mounted at AIB banks, as the two institutions have now merged.

Other issues in dispute include the harmonisation of terms and conditions in the two companies.
