A North Korean singer, known as the ex-girlfriend of leader Kim Jong-un, has reportedly been executed by firing squad.
A South Korean newspaper said Hyon Song-wol was executed for violating laws against pornography.
The Chosun Ilbo said Ms Hyon was among other performers executed on 20 August for violating the country's laws against pornography.
The performers were accused of selling sex tapes showing themselves having sex and some of them allegedly possessed bibles, which is classified as a political crime in the North, the newspaper reported.
The newspaper said Mr Kim and Ms Hyon met about ten years ago when they were single, but his father, Kim Jong-il, disapproved of their relationship and ordered it to end.
File footage from North Korea's state-run television KRT showed a woman who is believed to be Ms Hyon appearing at a concert in July last year.
An unknown source quoted by Chosun Ilbo said the families of Ms Hyon and the other people in the sex video were taken to a labour camp.
