Furniture giant Ikea is recalling two models of children's beds because of a design fault.
It follows seven reports of breakage of a metal rod connecting the guardrail to the bed frame.
The company said the metal rod could expose sharp metal edges, presenting a laceration hazard.
However, no reports of injuries have been reported.
Customers in 17 countries, including Ireland, who bought the beds are being asked to check the date stamp on the headboards or underside of the beds.
Kritter junior beds with the date stamp from 1114 to 1322 and Sniglar junior beds with a date stamp from 1114 to 1318 are affected.
Customers with an affected product can visit their local Ikea store or contact Ikea customer services on 1890-876-707.
They will either receive a repair kit free of charge, an exchange or a refund.
