Eight people have sustained minor injuries after the front landing gear of a passenger plane collapsed on landing at New York's LaGuardia Airport.
Emergency vehicles surrounded the Southwest Airlines Boeing 737, which had arrived on a flight from Nashville with 150 people on board.
"The aircraft landed on runway 4 and the landing gear collapsed, the nose wheel collapsed," Thomas Bosco, the airport's general manager, said.
Port Authority spokeswoman Lisa MacSpadden said those hurt during the landing suffered back and neck injuries.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
Southwest said in a statement that all the passengers and crew had been evacuated from the plane.
Airline spokeswoman Whitney Eichinger said the jet had been inspected on 18 July.
The airport was shut for a time, but later re-opened.
