The Department of Justice has confirmed that almost 1,700 members of its staff members, who are paid fortnightly, did not receive a payment into their bank accounts as expected today.
It has blamed the delay on a processing error, which has now been rectified.
Payments should be in accounts by tomorrow.
Staff who are paid weekly have not been affected.
