The Mahon Tribunal has cost the Department of the Environment, Community & Local Government €103m so far.
The figure was revealed to the Public Accounts Committee this afternoon by the general secretary at the department.
Geraldine Tallon said the estimated overall cost still stands at €196m.
She was responding to a question from PAC Chairman John McGuinness.
