Loyalist activist Willie Frazer has been freed from prison on bail after pledging to abide by a ban on going within two miles of any Union flag protest.
A High Court judge in Belfast agreed to release the 52-year-old after being told he is suffering from an incurable cancer.
Mr Frazer is facing a number of charges linked to the Union flag protests.
He was also prohibited from making any public speeches or social media comments about the dispute.
