A woman and two children have died following a crash on a busy UK motorway.

Two boys, aged four and 10, and a 32-year-old woman died after the crash on the M6 in Staffordshire at around 11.30am, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said.

Two other women were also in the car at the time of the accident, and are now receiving treatment in hospital.

Initial reports from WMAS said three children lost their lives in the incident, but the service released updated information later this afternoon.
