Survey by Medical Council suggests 92% trust their doctors

The results of a new national survey, commissioned by the Medical Council, suggest that 92% of people trust doctors to tell the truth.

The groups most trusted after doctors are suggested to be teachers at 89%, professors at 78% and television news readers at 77%.

The trust in professions survey found that the least trusted group to tell the truth are politicians generally, trusted by 14% of people, followed by TDs at 15%.

Trade union officials were ranked in the survey at 35%. 

The personal experience of doctors was that 94% of people expressed satisfaction.
