More than 60 workers protested outside the Great Island power station in Co Wexford today.

The sub-contractors, including employees from an Enniscorthy scaffolding firm, are worried they will be replaced by Spanish contractors.

The power station is undergoing a multi-million euro redevelopment.

KDK scaffolders from Enniscorthy said they had 25 workers out on strike, who were joined by about 40 others including construction and electrical workers.
