A shopping centre in Co Westmeath has been evacuated due to a fire.
Gardaí say the fire broke out in a storage shed behind Penneys and the Marks & Spencer shop on Grand Parade.
The fire quickly spread and led to a serious explosion.
A number of cars were also damaged in the blaze.
The scene was sealed off for a forensic examination to be carried out.
