Over 200 people took part in a protest march through Letterkenny, Co Donegal, against cuts to home help hours.
SIPTU says the cuts will cause severe hardship and will amount to a loss of over 25,000 hours by the end of this year.
SIPTU and IMPACT union members ran a soup kitchen at the Market Square in Letterkenny for people attending the demonstration.
