Fine Gael has launched its campaign for a Yes vote in the Children's Referendum.
The party said the 10 November vote is about giving children rights and a voice.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny said it would protect vulnerable children and Minister for Children Frances Fitzgerald said it would bring about both symbolic and practical change.
It said it is not taking a Yes vote for granted and that it will be campaigning hard.
Today's meeting was addressed by Wayne Dignam, who grew up in State care.
He said the referendum would ensure children were given protection that he was denied.
