Former Fianna Fáil TD Noel O'Flynn has been summoned to appear before the district court in Cork after he failed to repay a debt of €1,161.60.
A judgment against the former Cork North Central TD for these monies was granted by the court last March.
However, solicitors for Mick Young and John McGuinness, of the Community Centre, Riverstown, Co Cork, sought leave to deliver by ordinary post a "summons for attendance of debtor".
An earlier attempt to deliver a registered letter to Mr O'Flynn at Kilnap, Mallow Road, failed.
In an affidavit handed into the court, solicitor Micheal O'Dowd told Judge Tim Lucey that having carried out a company search, Kilnap, Mallow Road, is the registered business address of Noel O'Flynn Limited, of which Mr O'Flynn is a director.
Judge Lucey granted the application to serve by ordinary post the order for attendance of debtor to this address.
