Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore has insisted there is a strong team in charge of the Department of Health.
He was responding to allegations in the Dáil by Fianna Fáil's Dara Calleary that there was an apparent fractured relationship between Minister for Health James Reilly and Minister of State Roisin Shortall.
Ms Shortall last night criticised the pace of health reform but supported Mr Reilly in a motion of no confidence that was tabled by Fianna Fáil.
Mr Gilmore told the Dáil the two ministers were committed to delivering an improved health system.
The Tánaiste later told the Dáil that the Bill on GP care was on the Government's priority list and would be published this session.
Meanwhile, Labour Senator Ivana Bacik told the Seanad that Mr Reilly was delivering radical reforms to the health service and needed support.
However Sinn Féin Senator David Cullinane said Mr Reilly had got a yellow card from his own side in last night's debate.
