Luas drivers, who are members of SIPTU, have balloted for industrial action.
The drivers, who rejected a Labour Court recommendation some weeks ago, are seeking improved working conditions.
The drivers will serve Luas operator Veolia Transdev Ireland notice of their intention to take industrial action in three weeks’ time.
