Relatives of ten Protestant workmen killed by the IRA in south Armagh almost 40 years ago have met the Taoiseach in Dublin.
The workmen were shot dead in 1976 when gunmen stopped the minibus taking them home from work in Kingsmills.
The relatives were seeking an apology from Taoiseach Enda Kenny for what they describe as the Republic's blatant inaction over the killings.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the Taoiseach assured the families that there was no hierarchy of victims and he would "reflect carefully" on what they told him this afternoon.
Mr Kenny also expressed his sympathy with the families for the "indescribable loss they had suffered".
