The Health Service Executive and health unions have held conciliation talks over cutbacks in the northeast.
Stephen Mulvany of the HSE said this evening that agreement had been reached on a number of issues in the talks at the Labour Relations Commission.
However, SIPTU's Kevin Figgis said his union is still "gravely concerned" about the impact of the cuts.
The HSE announced plans on Monday to close 50 hospital beds in Drogheda, Navan and Dundalk, while it has also issued a ban on agency staff.
LRC Director of Conciliation Kevin Foley chaired the talks, which were attended by five health unions.
Further negotiations will take place on Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
